When I was first exposed to yoga after high-school, I fell in love with the physical aspects of it, but a regular practice only stuck when I was exposed to the depth that is yoga. I am passionate about the philosophy of yoga as it has helped me understand and accept myself as I am, all while helping my body move in a way that feels good. Yoga has helped heal my body, mind, and soul, and that’s what I love to share in my classes. I love using my creative side in my sequencing and creating a “spicy” practice with options to challenge yourself if you are looking for a challenge, or suggestions to ease off and always giving space to listen to your body first because you know your body best.
I have been teaching yoga full-time for the past 5 years in various studios throughout Peterborough and doing private classes primarily online as well as out of my home. I run inversion workshops and series, as well as arm balance workshop and series (STAY TUNED FOR THOSE HERE) I also work with youth athletes at Soul Volleyball camp teaching them yoga when I am not coaching them volleyball.
I have 2 amazing dogs and an equally amazing husband. I love playing volleyball as well as coaching it and have been a setter for most of my life, have competed at a high level in the past including competing at AAU Jr Olympics for beach volleyball at 16 coming 4th, assistant coaching a boys national championship team when I was in my early 20s, and recently have been the lead assistant coach for a men's college volleyball team that came 4th in the province.
